Managing expectations, for us, is the single most important aspect to maintaining a healthy and rewarding relationship with our clients. Our studio policies below are meant to avoid misunderstandings and clarify how we handle situations that inevitably come up. Thank you in advance for adhering to and understanding our need for our company policies. We are available to discuss them at anytime.
At Barre Cleveland, we designed our studio with you in mind, creating a supportive environment where you can build a lifelong passion for fitness. We also believe we have a responsibility to contribute not only to our students but the business community at large. In order to achieve these goals, we must be committed to growing a sound company.

Additionally, our fitness community of like-minded women who are in the same boat can provide the incentive you need to make exercise part of your regular routine, which will help make your goals more attainable.

Clothing items must be unwashed, unworn, unused, and in saleable condition to be valid for exchange. Unused merchandise must be in original packaging to be valid for exchange. This policy also applies to the complimentary items given in our Rockstar Elite Swag Bags; only exception being the custom S'well bottles.
Payment is required for all services and products received at Barre Cleveland. Online payment required before class via our website store. Payment ability closes 60 minutes before the class starts. Barre Cleveland accepts VISA, MasterCard and Discover Card. Barre Cleveland has a No-Cash policy, meaning that we do not accept cash payments. This is both safer for us, our employees and also our customers. Our No-Cash Policy helps to create a successful shopping experience by encouraging online payment methods that are safe, easy to use, and offer strong protection for our clients. You will also experience lesser waiting time at our studio as all payments are card only. ALL SALES ARE FINAL.
CREDIT CARD ON FILE POLICY
Similar to hotels and car rental agencies, you will be asked to save a credit card on your Barre Cleveland online account and the information will be held securely for any retail purchases, incidentals and penalty fees. Any amount owed by you will be charged to your credit card on file (CCOF) and a copy of the charge will be emailed to you. Clients who refuse our CCOF Policy will not be allowed to receive continuing services at the Studio.
All clients are held personally accountable for managing their workouts and Barre Cleveland account. Barre Cleveland accepts no responsibility for problems that occur as a result of online service interruption, inability to access client's online account or app for any reason, or user error. Clients are solely responsible for any and all use of their account; including iPhone/Android app usage.
WORKOUT RESERVATION POLICY
Do not arrive at the studio without a confirmed workout reservation. The ability to reserve a workout closes 60 minutes before the workout start time. Barre Cleveland is not responsible for students being locked out prior to their individual workout or package expiration date. Expiration date extension requests are prohibited.
WORKOUT SCHEDULING PROCEDURE
Sign up required for each workout via our website scheduler or iPhone/Android app. To ensure every class is filled to capacity our scheduling software is set to allow 20 students to register along with 5 holding on the wait list. However, when the wait list also becomes full our system automatically eliminates the "Sign In" button on the website's schedule page and app to restrict additional enrollments.
LATE ARRIVAL POLICY
Clients are responsible for arriving early to their barre session (please arrive at least 10 minutes early to check in; 20 minutes if it is the first visit to Barre Cleveland). Studio doors will close and lock once class starts. Barre Cleveland will refuse admission to those arriving after their scheduled class has begun and a $20.00 missed class fee will be automatically charged.
EARLY DEPARTURE POLICY
An early departure fee of $15.00 will be charged to clients who fail to commit to staying for the entire length of a BarreFit class; $25.00 for a workshop or event. This fee is part of the studio’s strategy to improve client behavior because early departures are extremely disruptive to the instructor as well as the remaining women in class. If mid-workout you need to visit the toilet, are feeling like you are going to vomit, are experiencing your cycle, have blood pressure issues, a poor heart, or experiencing weakness from not eating well that day, you can step out and recover with a respectful exit, and return quietly.
CANCELLATION / NO-SHOW POLICY
We do not accept class cancellation calls or emails to the studio. A minimum 2-hour notice via your Barre Cleveland online account or iPhone/Android app is required for a penalty-free cancellation. Missed classes and late cancels will be charged as if attended for students using a Single BarreFit Class. Unlimited package holders and Rockstar Elite clients will be charged $20.00 if they fail to comply with the above-mentioned requirements. A minimum 2-hour notice via your Barre Cleveland online account or iPhone/Android app is required for cancellation of a workshop; 24-hour notice for an event. $35.00 will be billed to our Rockstar Elite clients for a late cancel, late arrival or missed workshop.
WAIT LIST PROCEDURE
If a class that you would like to reserve is full you can opt to place yourself on the wait list. If you decide to join a wait-listed class then do so soon; our wait lists move quickly but the earlier you get on one the better. You must have class credit in your account in order to wait list a class and students will be notified via email when added to class from the wait list. As spots become available, students will be added to the class with our Rockstar Elite clients given first access and then in the order that their name was placed on the wait list. Adds will happen automatically until 2 hours before the class is scheduled to begin. Therefore, if you no longer wish to take a class please remove your name from the wait list before the 2-hour cancellation penalty period. Clients will not be added to a class from the wait list if there is less than 2 hours before the class start time or if already scheduled for class on the same day. If you make it into class from the wait list, the same cancellation policy will apply.
INJURY, HANDS-ON ASSIST POLICY
On occasion, the class instructor will perform hands-on assists to students in class. If you are uncomfortable with this method of teaching, please let your teacher know. We will never, under any circumstances, force or coerce a student to perform a position against her will or keep her from leaving class. Barre Cleveland also does not allow students to assist or spot each other in class without the express supervision, direction and consent of the teacher. We do not allow students to solicit help from fellow students. Additionally, please tell your instructor if you’re recovering from an injury. Your instructor can help you modify and will avoid assisting you in a painful place.
DISRUPTIVE BEHAVIOR POLICY
If students are disruptive, disrespectful, conversing privately in a disruptive manner or attempting to teach each other above the instruction, the instructor reserves the right to respectfully ask them to discontinue for the safety and consideration of the rest of the students in class.
Cleveland’s crazy weather won't stop us and we plan to stay open with our regular schedule of classes at all times. But we also recognize that the safety of our Barre Cleveland staff and clients is paramount and do not want anyone risking life or limb to get to the studio. Please remember you are under NO OBLIGATION to make the drive when the weather is precarious and can always opt to delete your confirmed workout. A minimum 2-hour notice via your Barre Cleveland online account or iPhone/Android app is required for a penalty-free cancellation. But if you decide to head out, drive safely, come enjoy some tea or coffee, relax in our zen lounge, tone and tighten at the barre.
AGE RESTRICTION POLICY
We believe exercise for all ages is very important and that’s what why we designed our Barre Cleveland workouts for women ages 18 and over. Girls under the age of 15 are not permitted access to our studio. We will allow 15- to 17-year-olds to train, but their parent must co-sign the participation waiver as well as attend each BarreFit workout with the minor. Our biggest concern, in addition to frame (body) size, is the maturity of younger participants. We feel we need to ensure the minor’s as well as others’ safety. Therefore, our answer to this concern is the active parental participation and supervision requirement.
LOST ITEM POLICY
Barre Cleveland is not responsible for lost or stolen items under any circumstance. Free lockers for personal belongings are provided but please refrain from bringing valuables into the studio. We will always do our best to aid where we can in recovering objects and a "Lost and Found" box is onsite for items students may leave behind. On the first day of each month these items, including shoes, will be removed and donated or disposed of.
Barre Cleveland agrees to hold your account information and data in strict confidence. We will never rent, sell, trade or in any way share your email address with any third party.
